MSME Credit Outreach Camp Organized at Surat

Surat: Surat Region of Central Bank of India successfully organized an MSME Credit Outreach Camp on 9th February 2026 at Gopin Industrial Park, Kamrej, Surat. The program was graced by the august presence of Hon’ble Executive Director Shri Mahendra Dohare.
Shri S. K. Sarkar, Zonal Head, Gujarat State, and Shri Manish Verma, Regional Head, Surat, were also present at the event.

Branch Heads from various branches of the Region, MSME entrepreneurs, industrialists, Chartered Accountants, and officials from MANTRA actively participated in the camp.

Addressing the gathering, Shri Mahendra Dohare shared his experience and highlighted that the Bank is organizing MSME outreach camps across the country with the objective of strengthening the MSME sector. He emphasized that these initiatives help establish a direct connect between entrepreneurs and the Bank, simplify and expedite the loan approval process, and provide fresh momentum to MSME growth.

During the program, detailed information was provided on the Bank’s business-oriented and customer-centric MSME schemes. As a result of the outreach camp, loan proposals amounting to approximately ₹247 crore were sanctioned, with a strong pipeline of around ₹172 crore expected to be sanctioned within the next one month. On the occasion, sanction letters and cheques worth ₹108 crore were distributed to 34 beneficiaries, generating enthusiasm and confidence among entrepreneurs.

At the zonal level, Ahmedabad Zone has sanctioned MSME proposals aggregating to around ₹1,100 crore during the ongoing campaign, reflecting the Bank’s strong commitment to supporting business growth and entrepreneurship.

On the same day, Hon’ble Executive Director Shri Mahendra Dohare also inaugurated the new Regional Office premises of Central Bank of India at L. P. Savani Road, Adajan, Surat, marking another milestone in strengthening the Bank’s presence in the region.
