Over 2,500 women participated in the run organised to spread awareness on women’s health & road safety
Surat: Nimaaya Women’s Center for Health has been continuously making efforts for many years to create awareness about women’s health. As part of this initiative, on the occasion of International Women’s Day, the 9th edition of ‘Nimaaya Great Run–2026’ was organized, where more than 2,500 women participated Through this run, women were given the message to remain aware about their health and were also educated about traffic rules.

Speaking about the event, Dr. Pooja Nadkarni Singh, Director of Nimaaya Women’s Center for Health, said that Nimaya is continuously striving to make women more conscious about their health. In today’s busy lifestyle, women often fail to pay attention to their own health, which makes awareness even more important. With this objective, the marathon run “Nimaaya Great Run” is organized every year on International Women’s Day. This year as well, the run was held on Sunday, March 8 at 6:00 AM, with continuous support from volunteers. Around 2,500 women participated in the run, spreading the message of women empowerment along with health awareness.
The Nimaaya Great Run started from Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Indoor Stadium. On the occasion, dignitaries including DCP Traffic IPS Anupam Singh and DCP Traffic Cyber Cell IPS Panna Momaya flagged off the run.
