HSW and SGCCI Host ‘Journey to Embropreneur’ Seminar in Surat, Highlighting Self-Employment Opportunities in the Embroidery Industry

Surat: HSW, in association with the Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI), conducted an informative seminar on Saturday, July 4, at the SGCCI Education & Skill Development Centre, Nanpura, to introduce its upcoming ‘Journey to Embropreneur’ course, scheduled to commence on July 13. The seminar aimed to guide aspiring entrepreneurs interested in building successful businesses in the embroidery sector.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from fashion designers, boutique owners, textile professionals, students, and women aspiring to start home-based businesses. During the session, Tapan Kapadia, Founder of HSW, shared practical insights into the embroidery industry’s business potential, explaining how entrepreneurs can start with minimal investment while covering key aspects such as customer acquisition, costing, marketing, and strategies for building a sustainable embroidery business.

A major focus of the seminar was the technical expertise required to execute the same embroidery design across different fabrics, including cotton, silk, denim, knitwear, and other materials. Speakers emphasized that achieving consistent quality across varied fabrics requires specialised techniques and hands-on practical knowledge—skills that will be covered extensively in the ‘Journey to Embropreneur’ programme.

The course has been designed to provide comprehensive training in embroidery machine operations, design software, machine maintenance, digitising, costing, marketing, and business development. Participants will also receive practical exposure to help them confidently establish and grow their own ventures.

With over 13 years of experience in the single-head embroidery machine segment, HSW has built a network of more than 7,000 embropreneurs across India. The seminar generated significant interest among attendees, and registrations for the upcoming batch have already commenced, according to the organisers.
