In a proud achievement for Sarvajanik University, Surat, two students from its constituent institutes have earned national recognition through their selection as mentors for the inaugural Pan-India Edition of the Rashtriya Paryavaran Bal Sansad (RPBS), held at the Delhi Legislative Assembly on October 7, 2026.
Sanyam Dagli, a student of Shri Ramkrishna Institute of Applied Sciences and Computer Education (SRKI), was selected as Mentor and Coordinator, while Kirtan Rankavat, a student of S. R. Luthra Institute of Management (SRLIM), was selected as a Mentor. Both institutes are constituent institutes of Sarvajanik University, which is governed by the Sarvajanik Education Society.
The national-level initiative aims to foster environmental awareness, conservation, and leadership among young people. It brought together selected students and youth representatives from various states across India to deliberate on critical environmental concerns, including sustainable development, water conservation, tree plantation, pollution control, and citizens’ responsibility towards protecting the environment.

In his role as Mentor and Coordinator, Sanyam Dagli guided participating students and contributed to the coordination and management of the programme. Kirtan Rankavat also played an important role in mentoring students and encouraging their engagement with environmental issues and responsible youth leadership.
The Rashtriya Paryavaran Bal Sansad provided a meaningful platform for young participants to understand parliamentary processes, exchange perspectives on pressing environmental challenges, and propose sustainable solutions for India’s future. The initiative seeks to strengthen environmental consciousness among the younger generation and encourage active participation in environmental protection.

Appreciating their initiative and participation, Shri Ashish Vakil, President, Sarvajanik University and Chairman, Sarvajanik Education Society, and Dr. Kiran Pandya, Provost, Sarvajanik University, congratulated the students and appreciated their commitment to environmental awareness and youth leadership, noting that such initiatives encourage students to extend their learning beyond the classroom and contribute meaningfully to society.
