Surat : Along with the celebration of Teachers’ Day today, a 10-metre Air Rifle Shooting Range was inaugurated at Leo Group’s Sunrays School and Leo School of Science and Commerce by Additional CP, Crime Branch, Surat City Police, DIG Dr. Karan Raj Vaghela, IPS, in the presence of NCC cadets and students.
On the occasion of Teachers’ Day, two former students of Leo Group, Ms. Hilpa Singha, Police Inspector, Crime Branch, Surat, and Kiransingh Bariya, Police Inspector, Shri Eco Cell, Surat City, were also honoured with certificates of appreciation.
While felicitating both Police Inspectors, who are former students of Leo Group, in the presence of NCC cadets and students, Director Mr. Jaysukh Kathiriya said that it was a matter of pride for Leo Group that both of its former students were being honoured by their own senior officer, DIG Karanraj Vaghela.

After the certificates of honour were presented, PI Kiransingh Bariya expressed his gratitude for remembering and honouring him as a former student.
In his address, DIG Karan Raj Vaghela motivated the students and said that sports play a very important role in achieving success in life and staying healthy. He added that practising at a rifle shooting range not only improves concentration but also helps reduce mental stress.

He placed special emphasis on the responsible use of social media by Gen Z and said that everything seen on social media is not necessarily true. At times, it can mislead children like you.
He also held a question-and-answer session with the students and explained that, in the present circumstances, their focus as students should be solely and completely career-orient
