77th Republic Day Celebrated with Great Enthusiasm at New Model Public English School

Students, teachers, and guests came together to honour the Constitution and celebrate the spirit of India.

Surat: New Model Public English School, a well-known educational institution located at Manasarovar Society, near S.M.C. Lake, Dindoli, Surat, celebrated the 77th Republic Day with great enthusiasm, joy, and a strong spirit of patriotism. The grand programme was organised on the school campus and witnessed active participation from students, teachers, and distinguished guests.

The main objective of the celebration was to honour the Constitution of India and to instil the values of patriotism among students. The programme began with the traditional lighting of the lamp, which created a sacred and energetic atmosphere across the campus.

This was followed by the ceremonial hoisting of the National Flag by the school Principal, Mr. Janardan Rana, Trustee Mr. Chandradev Gupta, and the chief guests, amidst pride and patriotic fervour. The moment was emotional and memorable for the dignitaries present. The chief guests included Corporator Varachha Mr. Bhaveshbhai Daboriya, General Secretary of Brahmarshi Ekta Parishad Trust Surat Mr. Mahesh Kumar Singh, along with Mr. Bharatbhai, Mr. Sitarambhai, and other respected personalities. The Guard of Honour presented by the school Scouts and senior students further added dignity to the occasion.

The welcome address delivered by Principal Mr. Janardan Rana was highly inspiring and filled the gathering with positive energy. The speeches by the chief guests were equally impactful and left a lasting impression on the audience.

While highlighting the significance of Republic Day, the speakers said that this day reminds us that the Constitution is not merely a document, but the soul of democracy. It teaches us the importance of rights along with duties and conveys the values of equality, justice, and brotherhood. Republic Day unites every Indian and inspires citizens to contribute towards nation-building.

The cultural programme that followed was a delightful showcase of talent and discipline. Students presented an impressive pyramid performance with precision and coordination, leaving the audience amazed. The group dance performances by higher secondary students, especially Class 7 and Team Sumit (Class 12), were highly appreciated. The dance by Class 11 students beautifully reflected India’s rich cultural heritage.

The performances by the pre-primary students were filled with innocence and charm, while the programmes by primary students were equally impressive. A humorous play performed by Class 6 students became the highlight of the event and entertained the audience immensely.

The dedication and hard work of the teachers in making the programme successful were commendable. The celebration strengthened feelings of patriotism among students, instilled respect for freedom fighters, and reinforced the spirit of unity in diversity, along with moral and civic values.

At the end of the programme, sweets and certificates were distributed to the students. The vote of thanks delivered by Mrs. Rajni gracefully concluded the event, expressing gratitude to everyone involved.

Overall, the Republic Day celebration was filled with patriotism, pride, and inspiration. The event proved to be memorable, meaningful, and truly motivating for everyone present.
