Empowering Faculty and Staff with Digital Skills: Sarvajanik University Conducts Google Workspace FDP

A Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on Google Workspace was organized by the Sarvajanik Centre for Training and Certificate Courses (SES) under the aegis of Sarvajanik University from 2nd March to 10th March 2026 under the valuable guidance and leadership of Dr. Kiran Pandya, Hon’ble Provost, Sarvajanik University.

The primary objective of the programme was to enhance the digital competencies of the teaching and non-teaching staff of the University and to familiarize them with the effective use of cloud-based tools for academic, administrative, and collaborative work.

The FDP was conducted by CA Keyur Doshi, who served as the resource person for the programme. Through a series of interactive and practical sessions, he provided hands-on training on various applications available in Google Workspace, including Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Forms, Google Drive, and Google Meet. The sessions focused on their effective use in documentation, data management, collaboration, and communication within an academic environment. Participants were also introduced to practical techniques that can help streamline daily academic and administrative tasks.

The programme witnessed active participation from faculty members and administrative staff representing the constituent institutes of Sarvajanik University. The sessions were engaging and practice-oriented, enabling participants to directly apply the tools in real-time scenarios relevant to institutional functioning.
The FDP concluded successfully with positive feedback from the participants, who acknowledged that the programme significantly strengthened their understanding and practical application of digital collaboration tools in higher education and institutional administration.
