First place in Under-17 Girls Volleyball and Under-14 Boys Kho-Kho at the CBSE Cluster Gujarat Tournament; both teams qualify for the Nationals
Surat: Players from Hills High School, Vesu, have delivered an outstanding performance at the CBSE Cluster Gujarat Tournament, bringing pride to the school and Surat. The school’s Under-17 Girls Volleyball team and Under-14 Boys Kho-Kho team secured first place in the tournament and qualified for the national-level competition.
The Gujarat Cluster Tournament was organised from August 13 to 15, 2026, at Gujarat Public International School, Waghodia, Vadodara. Teams from various schools across Gujarat participated in the tournament. In volleyball, Hills High School, Vesu, Surat, secured first place. Anand Vidhyavihar, Vadodara, secured second place, while Jai Ambe School, Bharuch, secured third place.
The Under-17 Girls Volleyball team of Hills High School comprises Ananya Rai, Sanaya Morena, Siya Vekariya, Hasti Dhoria, Navya Patel, Jheel Jain, Jeel Patel, Tanishka Thakor and Shipra Shah.
The Under-14 Boys Kho-Kho team featured Hetansh Patil, Mahit Patel, Ved Bhagwatwala, Ridham Patil, Rajveer Vanpariya, Krishiv Bhatt, Krishang Nemani, Adhya Vekariya and Khush Patel, who delivered an impressive performance.
First Place in the State-Level Competition as Well
Following this success, the Hills High School volleyball team also delivered an outstanding performance at the state-level competition of CBSE Cluster-13, securing first place. The competition was organised at P.P. Savani School, Bardoli, from September 7 to 10, with teams from various schools, including DPS Ahmedabad, Ravishankar Ahmedabad, Swaminarayan Vidyapeeth Anand, Tripada English Academy Vadodara and Vasisth Vidyalaya Kamrej, participating in the competition.
The Hills High School volleyball team secured first place in the competition and confirmed its place in the national-level competition. The team will now represent Gujarat at the national-level competition to be held in Punjab.
