Surat’s Hills Highschool Girls’ Team Wins Bronze Medal for Gujarat at CBSE Volleyball National Championship

Surat. The girls’ team of Hills Highschool, Surat, delivered a शानदार performance at the CBSE Volleyball National Championship 2026-27 and won a Bronze Medal for Gujarat. The national-level competition was organised in Ludhiana, Punjab, and teams from 23 states participated in the championship.

Hills Highschool won all five matches in its pool and secured a place in the quarter-finals. In the first match, the team defeated Nishan Academy of Punjab; in the second match, SBOA School of Guwahati, Assam; in the third match, Sandipani Academy of Madhya Pradesh; in the fourth match, Indian School of Abu Dhabi; and in the fifth match, DAV Public School, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi.

In the quarter-final, Hills Highschool faced Sanghamitra School from Hyderabad, Telangana. Hills Highschool’s team registered a victory in this match as well and entered the semi-finals. The team’s journey came to an end after a defeat against the Jaipur team in the semi-final. However, on the strength of its शानदार performance throughout the tournament, the team secured a Bronze Medal for Gujarat.

The team participated in the competition under the guidance of coach Hemanshu Mukeshbhai Patel. The team comprised captain Ananya Rai, along with Sanaya More, Siya Vekariya, Hasti Dihor, Tanishka Thakor, Jheel Jain, Navya Patel, Jheel Patel and Shipra Shah.

The Bronze Medal won by Surat’s girls’ team at the national-level competition has brought pride not only to the school but also to Gujarat.
