Young Minds Bring the Courage and Legacy of India’s Freedom Fighters to Life
Surat, 8 August 2026 : White Lotus International School, Vesu, Surat, organised the inspiring “Veer Balak – Freedom Fighters Showcase 2026”, celebrating the courage, sacrifice and indomitable spirit of India’s freedom fighters.
The event provided students with a meaningful platform to explore India’s rich history and portray the lives and contributions of legendary freedom fighters through creative character portrayals and engaging presentations. The young participants displayed remarkable confidence, creativity, stage presence and a strong understanding of the values represented by the nation’s heroes.
The showcase aimed to make history more engaging and experiential, encouraging students to learn about the struggles and sacrifices of freedom fighters while imbibing values of courage, patriotism, determination and selflessness.
The event was graced by Ms Apeksha Pardeshi, who served as the Jury Member. She evaluated the participants on various parameters including presentation, confidence, creativity, historical understanding, character portrayal and overall impact.
The school’s Principal, Mrs Purvika Solanki, appreciated the enthusiastic participation of the students and congratulated them for their sincere efforts. She emphasised the importance of exposing young learners to the inspiring stories of India’s heroes and nurturing in them a sense of respect, responsibility and patriotism.
The performances reflected the students’ dedication and preparation as they brought the personalities and stories of freedom fighters to life on stage. The event not only enhanced students’ knowledge of Indian history but also provided them with an opportunity to express themselves creatively and confidently.
The programme concluded with appreciation for all the participants and recognition of their efforts in making the event meaningful and memorable.
